Community Church of Buckeye (CCOB) has been a place of welcome since 1947. From our earliest days, we have been an inclusive, Christ-centered congregation, open to all people and committed to making a difference, both in our local community and in the wider world.
Our story has evolved over the decades. In the 1980s, we became part of the United Methodist Church, joining a global network of believers committed to grace, service, and justice. Being a community church is not just part of our name; it is at the heart of who we are. We take that calling seriously, and we back it up with action.
That spirit shows up in everything we do, whether it is hosting a float in the Pioneer Days Parade, planning the annual Coats for Comfort drive to serve neighbors in need, or supporting the All Faiths Community Center and other local charities. Each year, our Living Last Supper brings the community together in a powerful and moving reflection on faith. These events are expressions of who we are and how we serve.
Buckeye is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and we are excited about what that means for the future. Though we are a small congregation, we are a close-knit and passionate one, full of potential and eager to grow alongside the community we love and serve.
We gather every Sunday morning at 11:00 am for traditional worship, and we would love for you to be part of our story.
Families are always welcome at CCOB. Children are encouraged to stay for the full service, and we provide children's bulletins and activity books to help keep little hands busy and little hearts engaged. We also offer Pew Points, our sermon bingo activity, for the young and the young at heart.
After the service, don't rush off! Stay and enjoy a time of fellowship, complete with delicious refreshments and the kind of warm conversation that makes CCOB feel like home. Our Volunteers:
We have a dedicated group of volunteers who are at the Church every Sunday, ready to welcome you. They have newcomer brochures about the church and a copy of our church bulletin. They even have special bulletins for younger folks. We look forward to meeting you.
